It was hybridized by the late great Betty Fretz in 2017. We named this daylily and have it on display at the Beausejour Daylily Gardens. Want to get a piece of this beauty? Join us for a hands‑on Hybridizer Workshop where you’ll learn how new daylily varieties are created — and make your own crosses right in the gardens.
This workshop is perfect for:
• GardenAngels
• New volunteers
• Daylily enthusiasts
• Anyone curious about hybridizing
• Families and youth who enjoy hands‑on learning
🌸 What You’ll Learn
• How to choose parent plants
• How to collect and apply pollen
• How to remove anthers
• How to tag and record your crosses
• How seeds develop and what happens next
You’ll make 1–3 hybrid crosses of your own, guided step‑by‑step.
In fall, we’ll collect the seeds — and you’ll receive some of the seed from your own crosses. The rest will help support the gardens through future plant sales.
